1. End User — What You Can Do

Permissions​

You can:

  • Read and write data on volumes assigned to you
  • Mount volumes with mass-ctl
  • Use the mounted filesystem

You cannot:

  • Create or manage volumes or VolumeGroups
  • Manage users or groups
  • Access admin features in the Dashboard
  • Manage snapshots or backups

Access Flow​

Admin grants permission → usergroup_manager adds you to a group → mass-ctl login → Mount volume and access data

Access is granted through groups and Access Policies configured in advance by the admin. Ask your department manager for the volume ID, or find it in the Dashboard under Storage → Volumes.
