Monitoring Overview
MASS provides built-in monitoring through the Dashboard. No external tools are required to observe cluster health, storage performance, and hardware status.
Dashboard Panels
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Overview | Cluster health summary, active nodes, total and used capacity |
| Hardware | Per-node NVMe drive health, fan and PSU status |
| Analysis | Throughput, IOPS, and latency trends per VolumeGroup and Volume |
| Storage | Capacity usage breakdown by VolumeGroup with expansion indicators |
Navigate to each section from the left navigation bar. Use the time range selector in Analysis to review historical performance trends.
Alerts and Notifications
When a storage node, drive, or VolumeGroup enters a degraded or failed state, an alert badge appears in the Dashboard header. Click the badge to see the active alerts and recommended actions.
For proactive monitoring, configure email or webhook notifications in Settings → Notifications.
